01 dies, 05 injured in road accidents : Police | KNO

Srinagar, February 09 (KNO) : A child dies while five others were injured in different road accidents in the valley. In Sopore, a Tractor driven by Sageer Ahmad Mir resident of Janwera hit and injured a child namely Azhar Ahmad son of Mohammad Ayoub Shah resident of Janwera at Janwera. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to next of kins for last rites. In another accident, an unknown Tipper collided with a Tractor bearing registration number JK05E-3235 at Sangrama in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Shahid Ahmad Ganie resident of Nowpora Jageer and Mudasir Mushtaq Wani resident of Chardkote, who were boarding the Tractor. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment. Sopore police has registered cases regarding these accidents. In Kupwara, a Tractor bearing registration number JK09-2562 driven by Aijaz Ahmad Mir resident of Wavoora hit and injured a pedestrian namely Abdul Rahim Noda resident of Lalpora at Main Bazar Lalpora. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sogam for treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard. In Ganderbal, a Santro car bearing registration number JK01T-6176 driven by Tahir Ahmad resident of Nowshera collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01B-3304 driven by Mubashir Bashir resident of Serch Ganderbal at Dal School Nuner, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion rider namely Zahid Ahmad. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where from they were shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.(KNO)
